June Round Up.

1 July 2010

A really fantastic month on the farm, the weather has been beautiful and the horses all look superb.

Our Criollo stallion Arrayan Numa is now fully licensed with Weatherby's NTR and in addition he was tested by the University of California and he is, as we suspected, HOMOZYGOUS ROAN. Making him exceptionally unusual, I don't know of any other homozygous roan horses in the UK.

All Arrayan's foals will be roan.

Our last two foals of the season arrived during the day and in the sunshine.

Firstly Shesa Perfect Zippo produced the most gorgeous chestnut leopard filly by Exbury Ghost.

Named Chamfron Caramia, she sold with 48 hours and will be heading off to Northamptonshire at weaning.

Carter Bar then produced a chestnut blanket spot colt by Exbury Ghost who we have named Chamfron Cactus Jack.

We were pleased to hear Omar Rabia's mare Phalastine Fasoulia has produced a chestnut snowflake filly by Exbury Ghost.

Our first six mares have scanned in foal for April 2011.
