Stud Terms
- All nomination fees must be paid in full on arrival at Chamfron Stud.
- All livery bills and sundry fees are paid before the mare leaves Chamfron Stud.
- All mares will be required to provide a negative CEM swab, this can be done at stud, at cost, but please note it will delay your mare being covered.
- Mares should be halter broken and basically polite to handle feet etc.
- No Foal Free Return if mare is certified barren by 1st October. Please note: NFFR carries forward for one year only to the same mare. Alternatively, if mutually agreed, a 70% refund of the stud fee only can be given if the mare is barren at 1st October.
- If a mare loses her foal after 1st October in the year in which she is covered we regret no free return or refund available. It is the owners responsibility to check that all is well with the pregnancy prior to 1st October and notify Chamfron Stud asap if there is a problem.
- Mares are welcome to stay at Chamfron Stud, on excellent grazing until the 1st October.
- Veterinary assistance will be called upon at the discretion of Chamfron Stud and in the interest of the mare. The cost will be chargeable to the owner and every effort will be made to keep the owner informed if any issues arise.
- Chamfron Stud does not accept responsibility for any accidents or injury which may occur to the the mares whilst on the stud's property and so owners are advised to ensure that they have adequate insurance cover for accident, theft, or disease whilst the mare is at Chamfron Stud.
Mares Keep Prices
£25 grass keep, £40 barn keep for dry mares.
Wet mares plus £10.
All cheques should be made payable to Mark Douglas.
Prices include VAT charged at the current rate.
