Arrayan Numa, Criollo Stallion, Playing Polo

Chamfron Stud is a small stud near Gretna, in the South West of Scotland.  We specialise in polo but are striving to produce horses which will do more or less any job, be that hunting, jumping, western, endurance or just a family friend.

We own a beautifully bred Appaloosa stallion who is homozygous for the spotting gene and has never produced a foal who has stayed solid coloured. We are also proud to be the first, and so far only, stud in Scotland with a Criollo Stallion.

In addition to breeding from our own mares, we take horses in for breaking and re-schooling.  Over the years we have broken and produced horses that have gone on to win many races and to compete in other disciplines  at the highest level, including an eventer that has been long-listed for the Olympic games.
