Chamfron By Dand sold
At the beginning of March Chamfron By Dand left to go to his new home in Perthshire. Now called Owen he has settled in exceptionally well and is described as being incredibly laid back, perfect and a complete sook! He will be aimed at a career in endurance and jumping in time.
New broodmare
We were thrilled to add the very classy playing thoroughbred mare "Lady Erica" to the broodmare band in April, after coveting her for quite some time. She has settled in fabulously and has been covered by Arrayan Numa.
Chamfron Marco Polo sold
Chamfron Marco Polo left for his new home with the Bell family in Cumbria in April, he will be shown and in time stand as a stallion.
Visiting mare foals
Former Chamfron Stud mare "Kofi" foaled a bay filly on the 24th of April by Exbury Ghost. A very refined pretty foal, no signs of spots yet so it will be interesting to see how she colours out.

Chamfron Snow Angel sold
Chamfron Snow Angel was sold in August to her new home in East Lothian with Gordon Hastie
Polo Handicap
Mark's polo handicap went up to Zero at the end of the season, despite him not getting much chance to play this year.
Equithon
In September took Pitufa down to Cheshire to take part in the Cheshire Endurance Group's "Equithon" ride. This was a 26 mile charity ride held at Eaton Estate with the kind permission of the Duke of Westmister.
We took part as a team of four South American horses, three from Edlestone Academy, with Mark riding the ex bull penning horse Charua and myself on Pitufa. We completed the ride in three hours and thirty eight minutes and this was good enough to win the Open Challenge. Pitufa had the lowest heart rate of the team horses, despite not being hard fit.

Scottish Appaloosa show
Chamfron By Dand had a successful first show outing, placing second in the yearling class at the Scottish Appaloosa Show with his owner Rebecca Crump. This qualified him for the Royal London Show 2010.
He got some very positive comments from the judge about his manners ("very well behaved"), temperament ("sweetest nature"), conformation ("lovely limbs and a front to die for") and movement. The only real negative being how immature he was, which is absolutely fair enough as he was a very ill foal this time last year and is bound to be behind others his age
